As the months fly by, I am constantly reminded that graduation is approaching and with graduation comes official adulthood-ish. For those of you who are in a similar spot (whether from high school or college), it seems like the future is scary but exciting - am I right? So let's try to get through this together! 1. Your future starts today. It can be hard because we think that our future is so far away, but in reality, it's not. So, today, do something that will help and benefit you tomorrow. You'll be thankful later on that you did. 2. Don't be anxious It can be quite worrisome as to what the future holds: what job you'll have, who you'll marry, kids?! But will worrying about it right now be helpful? Maybe working towards it but not worrying about it. I know I'm preaching to the choir right now but I'm the worst at this, but there's a lot of truth to it. We can't change the past and our decisions map out our future. 3. Doubting won't help you Failure doesn't mean you stop what you're doing. It means you brush yourself off, stand up, and try again. Doubting kills more than you think. It kills hopes and dreams. Don't let it kill your hopes and dreams - they're worth more to you than you may even realize. 4. Be Positive It's an amazing thing, allowing positive thoughts to infiltrate your mind. Your outlook on life totally changes. Don't you want a positive outlook on your future? I know I do. 5. Step Out I know it's kinda cliche, but honestly, if you want to do something that you have never done or never had, then you have to do something that you have never done before. It's hard - and sometimes terrifying - but we have to do it. We need to do it.
We can do it.
